Loch Bar in Baltimore is a premier seafood restaurant and oyster bar that elevates the classic Chesapeake Bay dining experience with a fresh, vibrant twist. Nestled on 240 International Drive with stunning views of the Inner Harbor, this hotspot seamlessly blends the rich maritime culture of Maryland with a sophisticated cocktail bar vibe. From the moment you step in, you’re enveloped in an inviting atmosphere that balances lively energy with intimate comfort—making it perfect for celebrations, casual get-togethers, or a refined evening out.
The menu is a love letter to coastal cuisine, spotlighting some of the region’s most beloved flavors. Dive into their celebrated Oysters on the Half Shell, briny and fresh, or indulge in the decadent Oysters Rockefeller, baked with herbaceous, buttery goodness. For heartier fare, dishes like the Lobster Roll and Fries offer a luscious, buttery lobster filling paired with crisp fries, while the Maryland Crab Cakes capture that perfect balance of sweet lump crab and subtle seasoning, crisped to a golden finish. Seafood lovers will also appreciate the expertly prepared Chilean Sea Bass and the herb-seared Gulf grouper, both tender and flaky with nuanced flavors that showcase culinary finesse.
Soups here are a must-try, offering quintessential Maryland comfort with options like the Cream of Crab Soup and the classic Maryland Crab Soup, served either as a cup or bowl. Each spoonful carries the warmth of fresh crab meat balanced with the signature Old Bay seasoning that adds a subtle kick without overpowering the dish. If you’re seeking something a bit lighter or different, the Salmon Wrap and the shellfish towers provide fresh, vibrant alternatives that don’t compromise on taste.
Don’t overlook their imaginative sides — the Fried Brussels Sprouts with a honey sriracha glaze deliver a crispy, sweet-heat punch that lingers delightfully on the palate, while the Lobster Shells N’ Cheese takes creamy comfort food to an indulgent new height. The Buttermilk Hush Puppies, with sweet corn and scallions, offer a perfect balance of savory and sweet, making them a fantastic complement to any seafood dish.
The cocktail program at Loch Bar is as thoughtfully curated as the kitchen offerings. The Frose’—a part-frozen rosé laced with vodka and a strawberry twist—is a refreshing, playful drink that guests rave about, alongside other barrel-aged spirits and classic margaritas. Many visitors appreciate the attentive, knowledgeable service from the staff, who enhance every visit by ensuring the perfect pairing and timely attention.

Very nice restaurant. The Chilean sea bass was excellent. The cream of crab soup was delicious! Our server was very friendly and came to check on us often. Nice view of the inner harbor. This is our second time coming back here and I would highly recommend.
My lady friends took me to dinner for my birthday! We sat outside on a beautiful September evening! Fabulous views of the harbor and Baltimore at night! The food was fantastic and server, Angelo, was awesome! Lobster tails, crab cake sandwich and Chilean sea bass were all delicious - A completely wonderful experience! Would highly recommend!!!
A friend and I came in for a drink and conversation. We were not disappointed with Loch Bar. Everything was wonderful. Our cocktails were yummy. Lunch (ceasar salad and Marylabd Crab soup) was delicious. Our server was attentive and caring. Once again everything was wonderful. I will be back for another opportunity to just be in a great environment. Thank you.
Frosè was delicious, but they got rid of that new bartender Justin who was great, he was hilarious. The sriracha Brussels sprouts were good too.
I came here for my Birthday last year and i loved it. Beautiful Astmophere, my server was very nice i had first ordered the Salmon wrap and it was okay and i say that because it was a little too spicy for my liking wit the peppers and i'm not big on spicy foods so that's the only reason why i said it was okay and because i didn't like it they let me choose another dish so i was happy about that and it was delicious. They had someone that was playing the guitar and singing and they gave me a birthday shout out as well as a happy birthday song and that was cool i loved it, and since it was my Birthday they gave me a dessert(Cheesecake) which was delicious and sung Happy Birthday to me. It was really awesome there. I would definitely go back again which i am for my birthday again this year so i highly recommend this restaurant.
Bar: There are two moderate televisions at the 18-seat bar if you’re looking for a spot to leisurely watch sports in a mellow afternoon environment. Brunch review: Live music from local favorites Enslow playing an acoustic set and a brunch menu with variety made this a pleasant first experience at Loch Bar. Chance the bartender is incredibly friendly and attentive. Noon: As the sole patron at the bar and only three seated tables, the restaurant is perfectly quiet except for the talented performers. 1:30pm: The bar is filling out and the tables are mostly full so the atmosphere has evolved as the din increased. The cream of crab soup had a satisfying spice to it that warms you up on a rainy winter’s day. The lobster roll, served on a toasted bun, pairs well with the crab soup. Dinner menu review: Go full Baltimore with Cream of Crab soup, an Orange Crush, and crab cakes. Stephen is great behind the bar and will make your visit great. A big group of us came in for dinner on a weeknight... We sat outside, along the water and had decent service. The views and temps were great out there, but the lantern flies are ridiculous and all over. Their menu is very nice and it was hard to decide what to get, but everything we all chose were things we ended up really enjoying. For me, I absolutely loved the ceviche! Probably in my top 5 ever! Their mac & cheese side is also incredible! I tried their grilled shrimp banh mi and it was interesting - nice flavors, fresh, and tasty. Lots of drinks on tap and on their cocktail menu as well. Definitely worth stopping in!
Overall I give this a 3.5* review but Google doesn't allow half stars so rounding up. Nice setting on the harbor, had live music on a Friday night. Inside was a bit loud and I don't think I saw the hostesses smile once. They have an outdoor bar and seating options as well as indoor bar and dining area. I really wanted to like this place but left just feeling meh. Staff was ok, waiter was friendly and helpful. Also, was honest and warned us the crab cream soup was a bit salty, (it was). More on service later. Food was pretty good, but not worth the prices in my opinion. Caesar salad for $18, good size but bland flavor except for the salty parmesan crisps. $66 crab cakes were tasty but not sure that they warrant that price for 2 crab cakes and fries. Moules Frites were good and I'd order that again for $25. However the staff (not our waiter) brought our mains out before we had finished our starters, she just stood there for a second, and then just crammed everything onto our small table. They also wanted to clear our plates while we were actively eating. I think they refilled our water once over the course of our meal? So definitely could do better on the service side.
